Our minds and bodies receive information about the external world. Stimulating the five senses with holistic therapies, give balances and healings in our lives.
- Sight
- Sound
- Taste
- Smell
- Touch
Sight
Nature, products, atmosphere, art, and light are colored that makes them stimulating to the eye. Color therapy is when light stimulates the body’s endocrine system, and energy centers having a powerful effect on how we feel. The electromagnetic field of colors and vibration frequency, have a relationship between light and energy. Light is absorbed through our eyes and skin. We need a certain amount of ultra-violet rays to activate a form of cholesterol, which is in turn converted to vitamin D. Vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium and other processes. Gazing at vibrant colors heals within.
Sound
The sound of the voice, music, and nature helps in restoring balances to the body. Auditory rhythms release tension and improve health. In our brains alpha state, clarity and balance are achieved when using a repetitive synthesized rhythm. In the theta state, a deep meditative state evolves and healing excels. The rhythmic meditative music used during the revive spa therapy treatments, helps to clear the mind, improves restful sleep, reduces stress, and gives a heightened zone of problem solving acuity. De-stress with the therapeutic resonance of the “Om” frequency. Breathe in deep and then vocally release in “Om” sound until all breath is released, repeat. This toning of your voice vibrates the whole body, especially the pituitary gland, strengthening the regulation of our bodily systems. The sound of one person’s joy touching a stranger is capable of making him respond in kindness. Be sure to think positively and smile daily.
Taste
Water cleanses life and gives life. Hydrotherapy is the external and internal use of water for optimal health. The use of water by appropriate means can remove all the toxins and cure chronic elements. Healing qualities of nutritious substances, like mineral salts and essential oils are added to the water. Drink plenty of water to keep your system hydrated before, during and after your treatments. It is advised not to take water while eating. Take it half an hour before and an hour after the meal. It is recommended of adding orange and lemon slices in the morning, adding mint and ginger during the midday and honeydew in the evening.
Smell
Essential oils stimulate the olfactory receptors creating healthy responses in the body. These highly concentrated organic oils, present in various plants, contain turpenes and esters, and the odor of the flower from the plant extractions. The skin absorbs these aromatic oils which brings all the healing benefits to the revive treatments. Tranquil oils are: orange, tangerine, and sandalwood. Balancing oils are: lavender, and eucalyptus. Peaceful oils are: ylang-ylang, and Geranium.
Touch
The power of touch is extremely important in the healing process. Massage and bodywork using the application of pressure or vibration to a part of the body, or successively to the whole body, objectives may be the good feeling, to heal injury, improve circulation and relieve tension in the muscles or skin. A variety of massage therapies have evolved over many centuries in many cultures as a remedy to stress and other health related problems. Stone therapy makes the use of volcanic and soft, polished stones, which are heated and used as tools in massage techniques. These aromatic oiled stones are positioned on the seven main chakra points balancing the energetic systems. The revive facial therapy is the amalgamation of massage and skin care. The skin is the body's largest organ and needs daily essential antioxidants and nutrients to give you a radiant healthy glow.
